SHITO RYU KARATE FOR TEENAGERS

Adolescence is perhaps the most difficult time in a person's life. Hormonal disorders in conjunction with the transition from childhood to adulthood, often create a series of negative attitudes and reactions: insecurities, stress, low self-esteem, endless hours in front of a computer, depression and other negative feelings. This stage of life could come much more smoothly if the person could externalize and expand, or focus on skills and abilities, instead of feeling rejected and focusing in negative thoughts.

A person, improving the body, improves its appearance. Acquires confidence in his forces. Aims and succeeds instead of remaining idle in order to conquer his goals. Learns not to be frustrated by the "defeats" but to learn from them.

Through Karate a person is discharged from the program that has been difficult to accomplish, is concentrated in accomplishing techniques and cease to deal with stressful situations or thoughts.

Teenagers who choose sport and specifically SHITO RYU KARATE, have multiple benefits beyond their physical and mental wellbeing. Usually they cope well with the obligations of school, avoid risky and bad habits, gain confidence and respect for their bodies. Furthermore, they have the ability to benefit level studies, since excellent athletes may gain scholarships  or extra points for Panhellenic Examinations, from the Ministry of Education.
